Aaron
Aaron was born in Toronto on March 26, 1977. His first 18 years were spent living with his parents north of Eglinton in between Yonge St. and Bathurst St. This formative time was spent indulging in the simpler, blander type fare that young people usually tend towards. His parents meanwhile would demand he desist from drinking apple juice and eating chicken fingers for fear his slight frame may one day dissapear into thin air.
This constant nagging would play an important role in his future development as a surreptitious pizza connesieur (see review of Late Night Pizza). For University, Aaron moved to Montreal where his tastes somewhat expanded due to the colourful array of eateries in the downtown core.
However the monetary limits that university life imposed confined Aaron to more traditional fare and prevented him from truly experiencing the finer aspects of that city’s delicacies. Upon returning to Toronto, Aaron began his working life and was able to devote more energy and financial restitutuion to the endless pursuit of savoury delights.
What he discovered is that no national cuisine should be ignored due to some of the negative associations of smell or health difficulties one may experience during or subsequent to the dining experience. Aaron’s favourite meal is brunch; however, he also enjoys experiencing Toronto’s wide array of multicultural restaurants for dinner and lunch.
He is not afraid to explore exotic cuisines nor Toronto’s more seamy areas in search of new establishments to wet his palette.
